Steam with the Team Tours.
Saturday’s March 25th, October 28th and November 25th.
This is your chance to be up close to one of the Beam Engines while it is running. Learn why the Pumping Station was built in 1891 and how the engines work.
Volunteer tour guides will take you to the top beam floor and down into the basement. Tour groups will be limited to 20 people, so plenty of opportunities to ask questions. Visit areas where the public are not usually allowed. Tours will last for about 1 hour and run at half-hourly intervals.
To book tickets please go to: Steam with the Team Guided Tours – Abbey Pumping Station – Art Tickets
The tours are not suitable for those in wheelchairs or with mobility issues as they involve climbing stairs and spiral staircases. Also they are not recommended for those under 10 years of age.
