Join us for a nostalgic day out for all the family, step back in time and enjoy the fantastic variety of steam powered engines, toys, boats and trains on display. Visitors will have the chance to see the majestic steam powered Beam Engine in action and take a ride on the Narrow gauge Railway.  Leonard the Steam Loco is undergoing maintenance at the moment so trains will be hauled by one of our diesel locos.

An array of vintage vehicles will be on display in the grounds including Leicester Corporation buses and Tower Wagon, Leicester Museums and galleries collection of historic Fire Engines, Electric Milk Float, Electric Bread Van, Hoskins Ales truck and many more! Plus the ‘Forget me Not’ mini railway, built and maintained by the dedicated volunteers of the Leicester Museums Technology Association will be running.

The vintage coal-fired Chip Van will be in action, selling freshly fried chips and the Cafe will also be open for refreshments.

The Narrow gauge Railway will be running for just 50p per ride. Pay by cash or by card at the station.  Children under 3yrs travel free.
